Favourite nail polishes for autumn/winter

These are my favourite nail polishes for Autumn/Winter. As you can see, this is a range of shades, two of these in particular may not look appropriate for the season, however I personally don't like to limit myself to all dark shades, a pop of colour is sometimes needed!

Nail polish swatches from left to right:

1. MUA's All Nude - This is a creamy off-white colour, which I thought was true white when I purchased it but I'm glad it isn't, as the nude shade looks more flattering on the nails. The consistency of this is great, it's thick and opaque after just one coat, although I would recommend two coats for any nail polish if you want staying power. Overall, this is amazing value for the mere £1 it retails for, and as far as I can tell, the quality is not compromised in any way.

2. Barry M's Black 47 - This is a true jet black, with the standard fast-drying consistency and glossy finish that the brand is known for. It retails as £2.99, still a cheap price for a good quality, high street polish.

3. Barry M's Peach Melba - What I love about this colour, is that it's unlike any other shade I've seen (and that includes the likes of Ciate, Dior and Essie polishes), it's a peachy tone, which verges on coral, and not only amplifies even the slightest of tan, but also looks great with rose gold or gold jewellery. This also retails at £2.99, and although it doesn't look traditionally Wintery, I love wearing it regardless of season.

4. Barry M's Red Wine - I've wanted a Maroon/Burgundy nail polish for so long, and this just ticks all the boxes, it's a deep and rich pigment, which makes you feel all warm and Christmassy inside. This also retails at £2.99.

5. H&M Jo Is In The House- This is my most worn and loved nail polish of all time. It's a glittery topcoat, with particles of rainbow glitter, and it's absolutely gorgeous over any coloured shade. Recently, I've been loving wearing it over MUA's All Nude, the combination reminds me of fairy lights and snowflakes! This was from last year, so I'm not sure if you can still buy it, however there are plenty of alternative polishes, such as Barry M's Sequin nails in White.

6. LA Colors Color Craze in Wired - This is a stunning shimmery midnight blue, with light reflecting particles, it's a great party colour and I will probably wear it on New Year with the H&M topcoat. I bought this on offer for £1.

So there it is, my autumn/winter nail picks, I hope you like them as much as I do!
