Top three lesser-known clothing shops

There are many places that we all shop at regularly, because we know and trust them to be good quality, affordable and fashion-forward. However, I wanted to share some of the places I have discovered that I don't often hear talked about...

Bershka

I've been shopping at Bershka for years. Owned by the same company (Inditex) as Zara, it is a cheaper, younger version. Whatever the season, Bershka is always stocked up with fun, trend-led pieces, which reflect the cool, European vibe that is influenced by it's Spanish ownership.

Shop online here, or in store at London's Westfield Stratford or Oxford Street.

Stradivarius

Although owned by the same company as Bershka, Stradivarius, which is fairly new to the UK, is quite different. Stradivarius is all about laidback, pretty pieces, and they do detail very well, but their basics are always spot on too, and extremely affordable.

Shop online here, or in store at London's Westfield Stratford.

Monki

Monki is one of my favourite shops for browsing (and of course buying!). Not only is Monki's store a colourful, magical wonderland, the clothing's pretty damn great too. Monki specialises in clean lines and cool cuts, giving many of their pieces an urban edge, however you will also find some very unusual designs on selected pieces.

Shop online here, or in store at London's Carnaby Street.

June/July favourites

Hello there!
As I had so many exams in June (thank god they're over), I didn't have many favourites in June, so I thought I would combine the two months and do a post that way instead!

Beauty favourite: Eyeko skinny liquid eyeliner in navy.
I was originally inspired to buy this eyeliner by the lovely Essie Button, as she raved so much about the Stila version and how much she loved the colour, so I thought I'd give it a go, and I absolutely love it as a summer alternative to the usual black!

Skincare favourite: Dove Summer Glow nourishing lotion.
This product is fantastic. I was on the lookout for a body lotion that had a subtle self tanner in it and had my eyes set on the Garnier version, however I read lots of bad reviews and so went for the Dove offering instead, and let me tell you- it does the job perfectly! I'm naturally tanned, so I went for the Medium-Dark shade, and after using it for three consecutive days (as suggested), I have found a noticeable, but subtle sunkissed glow on my skin, which is completely even and it's incredibly affordable at just £2.49!

Fashion favourite: Kimonos.
Kimonos have been so popular this year and although I may be a bit late on the bandwagon, I picked up a floral one from H&M and a fringed one from Primark, and I can't stop wearing them as they are the most perfect light cover-up for the summer months.

Music favourite: Bombay bicycle club and Raleigh Ritchie.
These are by no means my favourite artists, but I'm loving listening to their music at the moment. In my opinion, the music of Bombay Bicycle club is so summery and makes you feel upbeat, whereas Raleigh Ritchie's sound has a very cool, chilled out vibe to it, and he's kind of a Frank Ocean/Kanye West hybrid.

Book favourite: A tap at the window by Linwood Barclay.
This is another cracker by my favourite thriller author of all time, and although I haven't finished it yet, the plot, characters and ideas are gripping as always.

Food favourite: Cadbury's Marvellous Mix-ups with Oreo.
I love chocolate. It's no secret, neither is it unusual, but even I have to admit that it can get boring. I love this product because it's such a nice mix of some of my favourite types of chocolate, with Oreos thrown in- what could be better?

Tv favourite: American Horror Story.
I heard about this a few months ago, and it's been a hugely popular show in America, but it wasn't until Zoella raved about it- which coincided with me gettting Netflix- that I could finally give it a go. I'm currently on Season 2, and I cannot recommend it enough, it is probably my favourite tv show of all time, because the story is fascinating, the acting is great and it is literally a continuous horror movie, which is my favourite genre.

Film favourite: The Fault in Our Stars.
Okay so this is an obvious one, but it is incredible. Never before have I sobbed for half an hour in the cinema like I did when I went to see this- it honestly is life-affirming.

Blog favourite: Little Winter.
This is a wonderful blog penned by Katy, which details the life of her adorable little family; boyfriend 'little B', the cat and the hamster. I love reading this because its so simple, and is based around the little things that matter, with a sprinkling of home ideas and countryside discoveries.
Find her here and here.

Youtube favourite: FayesFix.
Faye is the most down to earth youtuber/blogger I've come across. Her channel is a balanced mix of vlogs and fashion and beauty related videos which is great, but the main reason I love to watch her is because she seems like a real girl, unlike some youtubers, her life is realistic and she's very genuine.
